REPORT: Cuauhtemoc Blanco to return to Chicago this summer

The Chicago Latino population have missed this guy for too long already and so have the rest of the fire fans. Well here’s some good news: Blanco is rumored to come back to Chicago after the World Cup for the rest of the MLS season. It was quite evident that Chicago were lacking its former DP when the midfield that came out to play the Red Bulls was not even close to matching Blanco’s magic.

According to the Veracruz press, Blanco is having a quite enjoyable time with his team now, but would “love” to come back to play for Chicago and if you ever attented a game in Chicago in the Blanco era, you’d notice that he is a God to the hispanic population in that city.

Chicago currently have DP on their roster, and although rumors of Zidane and Nedved have been floating around, nothing really landed down or has been taken seriously. The Chicago midfield that played New York last Saturday was very young, and inexperienced one might say. Blanco is 37 years old, and is getting continuous call-ups from the national level and is having a good time scoring goals at Veracruz. The machine is still running and strong.

So if it still bothers you that Chicago have an open DP spot, do not worry, “El Cuauh” is returing.”
